  • The Besom in Handfasting: History, Symbolism, and Sacred Tradition

The besom, more commonly known as a broom, holds a longstanding place in wedding custom. While it is frequently associated today with Pagan and Wiccan handfastings, its story is neither singular nor confined to one tradition. The use of a broom in marriage rites has appeared in several cultural contexts, each with its own history and significance. When working with traditions that do not originate within our own cultural heritage, it is important to approach them with care, understanding and proper acknowledgement. What follows is an overview of the besom within British and contemporary Pagan practice, alongside guidance on where to find authoritative information on traditions rooted elsewhere. Handfasting in the British Isles The term handfasting  is most often linked to Scotland and parts of northern England. In medieval Scotland, couples could enter into a recognised union by declaring their intent before witnesses, often joining hands as a sign of agreement. In some regions, such unions were understood as betrothals; in others, they were binding marriages. Records and scholarship relating to Scottish marriage law and custom can be explored through the National Records of Scotland, which holds extensive archival material on historical forms of marriage. Although broom jumping was not universal across Britain, threshold symbolism was common in rural custom. In parts of Wales and England during the 18th and 19th centuries, accounts describe couples stepping or leaping over a broom placed across a doorway as a gesture of entering shared domestic life. The broom, as an essential household tool, naturally symbolised the creation of a new home. Readers interested in British folk practices may wish to consult the Folklore Society, whose publications document regional traditions, or explore rural domestic history through the Museum of English Rural Life. The British Library also holds manuscripts and folklore collections that provide valuable historical context. The Besom in Contemporary Pagan Practice Within modern Paganism and Wicca, the besom has evolved into a recognised ritual tool. Traditionally associated with purification and protection, it may be used to symbolically sweep a ritual space before ceremony begins. In a handfasting context, the besom is often laid before the couple after vows have been spoken and hands have been bound. The couple then steps or gently jumps over it together. This action symbolises: Crossing a threshold into shared life Leaving behind former burdens Establishing a joint household The joining of complementary energies For those wishing to explore the development of contemporary Pagan ritual in Britain, foundational reading includes Witchcraft Today by Gerald Gardner, which played a formative role in the emergence of modern Wicca. Academic studies of Pagan movements in the UK are also available through publishers such as Oxford University Press. African American Broom Jumping Traditions The custom of jumping the broom also holds deep and specific significance within African American history. During the period of enslavement in the United States, when legal marriage was denied to enslaved people, some couples marked their unions by jumping a broom in the presence of their community. After emancipation, the tradition continued in some families as an affirmation of resilience, heritage and ancestral continuity. As this tradition belongs to a distinct cultural and historical experience, it is important that it be understood within its proper context. Those wishing to learn more from authoritative sources may consult the British Library’s resources on transatlantic slavery and African diasporic history via the British Library, or explore collections and scholarship made accessible internationally by the Smithsonian Institution. Academic texts on the history of slavery and African American cultural practice are also available through major UK universities and research libraries. When incorporating broom jumping into a ceremony outside its originating tradition, many couples choose to do so with informed respect, acknowledging its history and ensuring it is not presented without context. The Symbolism of the Threshold Across cultures, the threshold is a powerful symbol. A doorway marks transition from one state of being to another, from independence to partnership, from past to future. Anthropological studies of ritual frequently describe such moments as liminal , meaning that they occupy a space of transformation. The act of stepping over a besom makes this transition physical and visible. It is not simply declared; it is enacted. The couple moves forward together, intentionally and publicly. This physical crossing is what gives the gesture its enduring resonance. It is simple, yet deeply symbolic. The Besom as a Lasting Keepsake After the ceremony, the besom often becomes part of the home it symbolised. Some couples hang it above the doorway as a blessing of protection and welcome. Others place it near the hearth or within a sacred space as a reminder of vows spoken. Decorations may include ribbons, seasonal flowers, or colours chosen for personal significance. Whether modest or ornate, the besom becomes more than a prop; it becomes a marker of a shared beginning. A Living and Evolving Tradition The presence of the besom in wedding rites illustrates how traditions travel, adapt and endure. In Britain, it reflects rural custom and household symbolism. In contemporary Pagan practice, it carries ritual meaning. In African American history, it represents resilience and community under oppression. Understanding these layers allows couples to approach the custom thoughtfully, with both appreciation and awareness. Our Besoms Our besoms are crafted with respect for this heritage. Designed for ceremonial use yet sturdy enough to last for years to come, each piece honours the symbolism of threshold, home and partnership. If you are planning a handfasting and wish to include the timeless gesture of stepping the besom, we invite you to explore our current collection while stock remains available. Should you have questions regarding historical context or ceremonial use, we are always pleased to assist.

  • Telling Your Love Story Through Charms: Adding a Little Magic to Your Wedding

Weddings are full of tiny details that mean the world; a borrowed hairpin from a grandmother, a favourite flower tucked into a bouquet, or a song that instantly brings back the moment two people first met. One of my favourite ways to add something personal and a little bit magical to a wedding is through charms. Charms have been used for centuries as tokens of luck, love, protection, and new beginnings. They might be small, but they carry so much meaning. When you choose them thoughtfully, they become little reminders of your story as a couple, the moments that shaped you and the things that make your relationship unique. A Charm for Every Kind of Love Story We have a classic range of charms that will always have their place in weddings. Hearts, horseshoes, eternity symbols, and other timeless favourites. These are perfect if you want something meaningful, beautiful, and instantly recognisable. Some couples like to go beyond the classics, asking for something entirely unique to their story. Recently, I’ve helped source charms such as padlocks, bats, dogs, horses, and even skulls, each chosen for its special symbolism: Padlocks  – Commitment and unbreakable bonds Bats  – Intuition, transformation, and embracing change Dogs  – Loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love Horses  – Freedom, adventure, and shared journeys Skulls  – Protection, individuality, and celebrating life These charms aren’t part of the standard shop range, but can be sourced or created for couples who want something personal and meaningful. If you have an idea, big, small, or a little unusual, just ask. I love helping couples bring their vision to life.s of romance and good luck that will always have their place. How Charms Can Tell Your Story What I love most about charms is how personal they can be. No two couples are the same, and your wedding details shouldn’t be either. Charms let you weave little parts of your life into the day in a subtle, meaningful way. You might choose: ✨ A symbol that reminds you of where you first met ✨ Something that reflects a shared passion or hobby ✨ A way to honour loved ones who can’t be there ✨ A charm that has brought you luck over the years ✨ Or something that simply feels  like the two of you Together, they become a miniature version of your love story — a handful of tiny symbols that say more than words ever could. A Keepsake to Carry Forward Charms attached to handfasting cords aren’t just for the ceremony. They become keepsakes to treasure long after the wedding, a reminder of the vows you shared and the story you’re writing together. Many couples even continue to add charms for anniversaries or milestones, letting their collection grow alongside their story.

  • Why I’m Creating a Celebrant Recommendations Page (And Why Choosing the Right Celebrant Matters So Much)

When it comes to planning a wedding — especially one with a unique, spiritual, or alternative feel — there are so many elements to consider. Outfits, location, vows, rituals, guest list, food… the list can be overwhelming. But one choice, in particular, can set the tone for everything else: your celebrant . While I’m not a celebrant myself, I create handmade, alternative, and witchy handfasting cords  for couples who want their union to be rich in symbolism and deeply meaningful. Through this work, I’ve had the joy of connecting with many incredible celebrants — people who lead ceremonies with care, presence, and magic. And that’s why I’ve decided to create a new space on my website: a Celebrants I Recommend  page. This page will be a curated directory of celebrants I’ve had positive connections with — people I believe are worth knowing about if you’re searching for someone to lead your ceremony with heart and integrity. Why Your Celebrant Matters So Much The celebrant is the voice and energy of your ceremony. They’re the person who welcomes your guests, grounds the space, and guides you through one of the most powerful and emotional transitions in life. They aren’t just a speaker — they’re a space-holder, a storyteller, a witness, and sometimes even a spiritual guide. A good celebrant can transform a ceremony from a formal process into a personal, unforgettable experience. They can help you feel safe, calm your nerves, celebrate your uniqueness as a couple, and make everyone in the space feel included. That’s a rare gift — and one that deserves real attention when you’re choosing who to work with. Especially in the world of alternative weddings, where handfastings, pagan rituals, spiritual elements, or nature-based practices might be involved, it’s so important to find someone who understands your vision and honours your path. Not every celebrant has experience with these types of ceremonies — and that’s okay — but it’s why finding the right  person is so key. Why I’m Creating This Page There are plenty of celebrant directories out there, but they often feel impersonal or overwhelming. What I’m creating is something a little different: a personal, community-based collection of celebrants who I’ve encountered in meaningful ways — whether through collaborative work, shared values, or mutual admiration. This isn’t a paid listing service, and it’s not about ranking or reviewing anyone. It’s simply a space to share names of celebrants who I believe are doing beautiful, intentional work — people I’d feel confident suggesting to couples looking for something special. And while every couple must do their own research and trust their instincts, I hope this page will offer a supportive and inspiring place to begin your search. What You’ll Find on the Page The Celebrants I Recommend  page will include: A short bio for each celebrant A photo Their preferred contact details A link to their website or social media The regions or areas they cover This information is provided with permission and will be kept up to date as best I can. I’ll check in with each celebrant once a year to make sure everything is still accurate, but as always, it’s best to confirm details directly with the celebrant before making any decisions. Important Note: You Know What’s Best for You Even though these celebrants are people I admire, I always encourage couples to do their own research . Your celebrant should feel like the right fit for you  — your personality, your beliefs, your ceremony style, and your values. Make sure to ask questions, look through their work, read testimonials, and most importantly, trust your gut. A ceremony is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. It deserves to be held by someone who truly sees you and honours your journey. Rituals, Handfasting, and Shared Meaning As a maker of handfasting cords and other ritual items, I pour deep intention into everything I create. I view each cord not just as a decorative item, but as a symbol — of union, of balance, of choice, and of sacred connection. So much of my work is about the ritual moment  itself — the act of tying the knot — and that moment is often held in the hands of the celebrant. That’s why I care deeply about who’s leading your ceremony. A celebrant who understands ritual, symbolism, and energy can elevate a handfasting from a lovely idea into a soul-deep commitment. It’s a joy and an honour to know that some of the celebrants I’ll be recommending are already working with my cords — and I’d be absolutely thrilled if more of them did in the future. For me, this isn’t about promotion — it’s about shared purpose. A ceremony is a co-creation between you, your celebrant, and the elements you choose to bring in. And when that connection flows, it’s truly magical. A Living, Growing Resource This recommendations page is just the beginning. I hope it grows over time to include even more brilliant celebrants from all paths and traditions. If you’re a celebrant reading this and you feel aligned with my work, please feel free to reach out — I’m always open to expanding the circle in a meaningful way. And if you’re a couple, throuple or collective looking for guidance, I hope this page brings some ease to your planning and helps you find someone who will honour your love with the presence and intention it deserves. Coming Soon… I’ll be launching the Celebrants I Recommend  page very soon — so keep an eye out for it on my website and Instagram. I truly believe this will be a valuable and heart-led resource for couples who want their ceremony to be more than just a formality. In the meantime, thank you for supporting my work, and for choosing meaningful ceremony, however that looks for you. Blessed be, Penny Solar Crone Creations ✨

  • Why You Absolutely Shouldn’t Have a Handfasting Cord (Unless You Fancy Something Meaningful, Beautiful, and Timeless)

Look, let’s be honest right out of the gate: you really shouldn’t have a handfasting cord . No, really—don’t do it. It’s risky. Emotionally risky. Aesthetically risky. Spiritually risky. These things are absolute trouble, and if you’re considering one, well... brace yourself. You're dangerously close to doing something unforgettable. Allow me to explain. 1. It Might Actually Mean Something In a world full of quick decisions and easy symbolism (throw a confetti cannon, post a selfie, job done), a handfasting cord is the exact opposite. It’s handmade. Thoughtful. Often customised with colours, charms, and materials that reflect your love story or personal journey. It takes intention . Who needs that kind of emotional resonance in a ceremony? It’s far easier to settle for something off-the-shelf, mass-produced, and entirely forgettable. If you’re not  looking to connect deeply with your partner and your guests, steer well clear. 2. It Could Make People Cry (Yes, Even Uncle Dave) There’s always that one moment in a ceremony where emotions rise. Maybe it's the vows. Maybe it's the music. But toss in a beautifully braided cord, rich with symbolic meaning, and boom: tears. Everywhere. And no one wants to be that  wedding—the one that makes even the toughest guests dab at their eyes with suspiciously moist napkins. If you were planning a strictly stiff-upper-lip sort of affair, a handfasting cord is far too risky. Next thing you know, people will be feeling things . 3. It’s Far Too Personal You know what’s safe? A standard ring exchange. No one asks too many questions. No one wonders what it means. It’s just tradition, and it looks nice in photos. But a handfasting cord? That opens the door to questions .Why did you choose those colours? What does that knot mean? Is that charm a family heirloom? Did your nan actually weave that bit? And then you have to explain. You have to tell your story. And people will listen—intently. They’ll feel like they’re part of something ancient, something meaningful. Dangerous territory indeed. 4. It Might Become an Heirloom You want to be careful with things that last. Not just physically, but emotionally. A handfasting cord, especially one that’s lovingly handmade, tends to have staying power. Before you know it, it’s tucked away safely in a memory box or displayed proudly in a frame. It might even be passed down—used again by a sibling, a child, or a grandchild. Can you imagine? You were hoping for a one-day wonder. A fleeting Instagram story. Not a piece of family history. Right? 5. You Might Actually Use It Again You may think a handfasting cord is just for a wedding. That’s your first mistake. While I won’t spoil the future blog post (trust me, you’ll want to read it), let’s just say a cord can be involved in more than vows. Renewals, anniversaries, baby blessings, commitment ceremonies, seasonal rituals—the list goes on. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. For now, just know that this beautiful, meaningful item might stick around . Like a loyal puppy. Or a particularly wise grandmother. 6. It’s a Slippery Slope to Being “That Couple” You know the ones. They have a story behind everything. The first date playlist is framed. Their house smells like sandalwood and purpose. They use terms like “intentional living” and “sacred space” without irony. It starts with one handfasting cord, and the next thing you know, you’re both learning to tie Celtic knots by candlelight and whispering affirmations at full moon. Avoid the cord, avoid the lifestyle. Unless that sounds kind of nice… 7. It Makes for Terrible Wedding Photos Actually—scratch that. Handfasting cords look amazing  in photos. They add a burst of texture, colour, and symbolism. They give your photographer something deeply poetic to capture. The moment hands are bound is emotional gold. The slow tying of a knot, the shared gaze, the hands gently held—it’s cinematic. So yes. If you’re hoping for dull, standard-issue photos, a handfasting cord is your worst enemy. 8. It Might Be Too... Magical There’s something annoyingly enchanting about handfasting. It taps into something ancient. Pagan, Celtic, Druidic, Norse—choose your path. There’s a whisper of old magic woven through the strands. It’s a way to declare love not just in words, but in action, symbol, and sacred geometry. All terribly inconvenient if you’re trying to keep your wedding practical and spreadsheet-friendly. Avoid anything that feels like spellcraft or soul-binding. Far too effective. Final Warning: You May End Up Loving It All sarcasm aside, here’s the truth: handfasting cords are special. They invite you to think about your ceremony as something more than logistics. They ask you to slow down, reflect, and choose with care. They are tactile symbols of commitment—beautifully bound, just like the life you’re building together. Whether you choose silk, ribbon, hemp, wool, or lace... whether your colours reflect nature, chakras, Hogwarts houses, or national flags... each cord becomes a small monument to a much bigger moment. And yes, I do  make them. By hand. With love. With the care I’d give to my own sacred moments. Because I think these things matter—and I suspect you might think so too. If you’re ready to risk having something meaningful, beautiful, and lasting... well, let’s talk cords. P.S. Keep an eye out for the next blog post where I’ll share all the surprising ways handfasting cords can be used beyond weddings. You might just discover a new tradition.

  • Making Your Own Handfasting Cord: A Meaningful Creation

At Solar Crone Creations , I craft beautiful, bespoke handfasting cords, weaving together colours, textures, and materials that reflect each couple’s unique journey. However, I completely understand that some couples wish to create their own cord as a deeply personal part of their ceremony. Recently, I’ve been asked if I teach cord-making. While I don’t offer workshops, I do believe that anyone can create a meaningful handfasting cord, even with simple techniques. If you’re considering making your own, here’s a guide to help you craft something beautiful and symbolic. What is a Handfasting Cord? A handfasting cord is used in a handfasting ceremony, a beautiful and ancient tradition symbolising the binding of two lives in love and commitment. The cord is wrapped around the couple’s hands as they say their vows, creating a physical representation of their bond. It can be made of various materials, often chosen for their symbolic significance, and can be kept as a cherished keepsake long after the ceremony. Why Make Your Own Handfasting Cord? Making your own handfasting cord can be a powerful and personal act. Whether you’re drawn to DIY crafts, enjoy working with your hands, or simply want to infuse your ceremony with your own energy and intention, creating your own cord allows you to weave your love and commitment into something tangible. Unlike a store-bought cord, a handmade one carries the energy and essence of the couple who created it. That said, not everyone has the time or inclination to make their own, and that’s completely okay! If you’d prefer to have a custom cord made with love and care, I’m always here to help. But if you do want to try making your own, here’s how you can do it. Choosing Your Materials The first step in making your handfasting cord is selecting your materials. There are no strict rules—what matters most is that the materials you choose hold meaning for you. Here are some things to consider: Fabric or Ribbon:  Soft, flexible materials like satin, silk, or cotton ribbons work beautifully. They drape well and are easy to braid or knot. Yarn or Embroidery Thread:  If you want a softer, more textured look, yarn can be a lovely option. Natural Fibres:  Hemp, jute, or even braided grasses can add an earthy, rustic touch to your cord. Beads and Charms:  Adding charms, beads, or even small keepsakes can personalise your cord further. Consider symbols that have significance to your relationship. Colours:  Different colours carry different meanings, so choose hues that reflect your love and intentions. For example, red represents passion, white symbolises purity, and green is associated with growth and fertility. A Simple Braid – The Easiest Way to Make a Handfasting Cord If you’re new to cord-making, you can’t go wrong with a simple three-strand braid. Any braid that works for hair will work for cord, and simplicity often carries the most meaning. Here’s a step-by-step guide: Cut Your Strands  – Cut three equal lengths of your chosen material. The length depends on your needs, but a good rule of thumb is at least 1.5 metres to allow for wrapping and knotting. Tie a Knot  – Gather the three strands together and tie a knot at one end. You can secure it to a heavy object or tape it to a table to keep it steady. Start Braiding  – Cross the right strand over the centre, then the left strand over the centre, and continue this pattern until you reach the end. Secure the End  – Tie another knot to keep the braid intact. You can add beads, charms, or decorative finishes if you like. This simple braid method is easy, but if you want something more intricate, you can explore four-strand braids, fishtail braids, or even macramé techniques. Adding Personal Touches Your handfasting cord should be a reflection of your love story. Here are some ways to personalise it: Weave in Keepsakes  – Incorporate small items like lace from a family heirloom, a strip of fabric from a meaningful piece of clothing, or even dried flowers. Use a Variety of Textures  – Mixing materials such as satin with twine or lace with velvet can create a visually stunning effect. Embroider Words or Symbols  – If you have sewing skills, you can stitch initials, dates, or symbols into the fabric. Knot Intentions into the Cord  – As you braid or knot your cord, focus on your intentions and desires for your marriage, infusing it with positive energy. Embracing Imperfection When making your own handfasting cord, remember that it doesn’t have to be perfect. This isn’t about achieving a flawless, machine-made look—it’s about creating something meaningful. Any small imperfections will only add to its charm and character. Your cord represents your unique bond, which, like any relationship, is built on love, growth, and the beauty of imperfection. Using Your Handfasting Cord in Your Ceremony Once your cord is ready, you can incorporate it into your ceremony in a way that feels right for you. Some couples have a celebrant or officiant wrap the cord around their joined hands, while others take turns wrapping it around each other’s wrists. You can choose to tie a symbolic knot, or simply drape the cord and let its presence speak for itself. After the ceremony, many couples choose to keep their handfasting cord as a keepsake, displaying it in a shadow box, tying it around a wedding album, or even using it in future anniversaries as a reminder of their vows. Should You Make Your Own or Have One Made? If you love crafting and want to add this personal touch to your wedding, making your own handfasting cord can be a beautiful experience. However, if you’re short on time or prefer a professionally crafted cord, I’m always happy to create something special for you. At Solar Crone Creations , I take great care in weaving handfasting cords that are not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful, incorporating colours, charms, and symbols that resonate with each couple. Final Thoughts Making your own handfasting cord is a wonderful way to add a personal and heartfelt touch to your ceremony. Whether you opt for a simple braid, a more intricate design, or a custom creation from Solar Crone Creations , the most important thing is that your cord carries meaning for you and your partner. If you’d like a bespoke handfasting cord crafted with care and intention, feel free to reach out—I’d love to create something special for your big day. And if you choose to make your own, trust the process, embrace the imperfections, and infuse it with love. That’s what truly makes it magical.

  • Dancing with the Wheel: Preparing for My First Wedding Fair

Greetings, magical beings! This past week has been a whirlwind of creativity, excitement, and just a pinch of nerves as I prepare for my very first wedding fair! While I’ve done other events before, this is my first time stepping into the world of weddings, and I can’t wait to showcase my handfasting cords, wedding bells, and handfasting altars—beautiful, sacred items that help couples weave their love into something truly magical. I’ve spent so much time crafting these ritual pieces with intention and care, pouring energy into every knot, every bell, and every piece of wood. Online, my creations have always been met with lovely feedback, but going to a wedding fair is a whole new kind of spellwork—one that involves setting up a stall, speaking to real-life people (eek!), and hoping that my handcrafted treasures resonate with the right souls. From the Crafting Table to the Wedding Fair Let me tell you, preparing for an event like this is not for the faint of heart. My workspace currently looks like a beautifully chaotic explosion of ribbons, charms, bells, and braids. There’s something so special about handfasting cords—they are quite literally the threads that bind a couple together in love, and each one tells a unique story. Some are woven with ivy greens and soft creams for an earthy, traditional look; others are bursting with celestial blues and silvers for those who feel drawn to the stars. Then, of course, there are the vibrant, wild, and unapologetically bold ones for couples who refuse to be anything other than themselves. The wedding bells are another labour of love. Tied with meaningful charms and twine, they bring protection, harmony, and a little bit of old-world magic to a ceremony. When rung, they chase away negativity and welcome in joy—just the thing to start a marriage on the right note (pun absolutely intended). And then, of course, there are my handfasting altars. These are truly something special—sacred spaces for couples to lay their vows upon, imbued with the energy of love and commitment. Some are simple, rustic wooden platforms, while others are adorned with carvings, crystals, and symbols of devotion. Each one is made with care and intention, ensuring it will be a worthy centrepiece for such a powerful ritual. The Joy (and Terror) of Going In-Person While I’ve attended events before, stepping into the world of wedding fairs is a whole new experience. I know the buzz of setting up a stall, the excitement of chatting with customers, and the joy of seeing people connect with my creations—but weddings bring a different kind of energy. There’s something deeply meaningful about helping couples find the perfect pieces for their special day, and I can’t wait to be part of that magic. Of course, there’s still a little nervousness mixed in with the excitement. Every event brings new faces, new conversations, and new opportunities, and I never quite know what to expect. But that’s part of the adventure! It’s a chance to share my work in a new setting, meet like-minded souls, and hopefully help some wonderful couples find the perfect ritual pieces for their ceremonies. Keeping Up with the Digital Spellwork Amidst all this fair prep, I’ve also been working behind the scenes on my website. I’m slowly but surely adding more of my products, making them available not just through Etsy but directly from Solar Crone Creations. It’s another layer of growth, another step towards building a space where my work can truly shine. It’s exciting, but also—wow—it’s a lot! The thing about running a small, handmade business is that it’s not just about the crafting. It’s about the website updates, the social media posts, the photography, the listings, the messages, the packaging, the events, the networking. It’s a never-ending dance, and some days I feel like I’m spinning faster than the Wheel of the Year itself! Finding Balance in the Busy One of the things I struggle with most is taking time for myself when I’m deep in the hustle. I love what I do, and that makes it easy to just keep going, chasing that next goal, ticking off that next task. But with Imbolc just behind us and the days growing lighter, I’ve been trying to remind myself that even as I pour my energy into my work, I need to refill my own cup too. The longer days have made it a little easier to step outside and breathe. I’ve been taking walks, soaking up the (occasional) sunshine, and reconnecting with nature. There’s something about seeing the first hints of spring—buds forming, birds singing, the earth beginning to stir—that reminds me that growth isn’t just about pushing forward. It’s also about allowing space to rest, to breathe, to simply be . A Little Witchy Wisdom for You If you’ve found yourself caught up in your own whirlwind lately—whether it’s work, creative projects, or just the general chaos of life—take this as a gentle nudge to pause. The Wheel keeps turning, and each season brings its own lessons. Right now, as we shift from winter’s stillness into spring’s stirrings, it’s the perfect time to find balance. So, I invite you, dear reader, to take a moment. Breathe. Step outside if you can, even if just for a minute. Notice the shift in the air, the promise of warmth returning. Check in with yourself—have you been running on empty? If so, let this be your reminder to prioritise self-care. And if you happen to be near my first-ever wedding fair (eep!), come say hello! I’d love to share my creations with you in person and celebrate the magic of love, ritual, and new beginnings. Until next time, stay magical and take care of your beautiful self. Blessed be, 🌿✨
