About Solar Crone Creations
My name is Penelope, and I have been creating handcrafted ritual objects for more than twenty years.
The name Penelope comes from Greek tradition and means the weaver, a meaning that has always felt deeply connected to my work. Much of what I create begins with weaving, not simply fibres together, but symbolism, craftsmanship, and intention into objects that become part of people's stories.
Solar Crone Creations grew from a personal craft practice into a studio dedicated to traditional ritual craft, where every piece is created by hand with care, purpose, and respect for the traditions that inspire it.
The name Solar Crone reflects my own journey as a maker. It combines the creative energy symbolised by the Sun with the wisdom that comes through years of learning, making, and lived experience. Together, they represent the values that underpin every object I create: patience, authenticity, intention, and craftsmanship.
My Craft
Every ritual object is made by hand in my studio using traditional techniques and carefully chosen materials. No two pieces are ever identical because no two stories are ever the same.
My work is organised into four ritual collections:
-
✧ The Binding Line ✧ ceremonial cord work created for commitment, devotion, and meaningful union.
-
✧ The Threshold Line ✧ ritual objects for protection, transition, and boundary work.
-
✧ The Soulmark Line ✧ symbolic jewellery and amulets created to express identity and personal intention.
-
✧ The Sacred Space Line ✧ handcrafted objects created to support ritual practice and intentional spaces.
Although each collection has its own purpose, they are united by the same philosophy: ritual objects should be meaningful, functional, and created with genuine care.
Materials & Values
I believe the materials used to create a ritual object matter just as much as the finished piece itself.
Wherever possible I work with reclaimed materials, sustainably sourced fibres, ethically gathered natural elements, and materials selected not only for their beauty but also for their symbolism and suitability.
Each knot, braid, weave, and finish is completed by hand. Nothing is mass produced, and no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Why I Create
I don't create ritual objects simply to be admired. I create them to be used, held, and woven into people's lives.
Over the years, one comment has stayed with me more than any other. Customers often tell me they feel as though they didn't simply choose a piece, they found the one that had been waiting for them. To me, that captures the heart of ritual craft.
A meaningful object isn't valuable because it is rare or elaborate. It becomes meaningful because of the connection it forms with the person who carries it, wears it, or welcomes it into their home.
My hope is that every piece leaving my studio becomes part of someone's story, marking a commitment, protecting a threshold, expressing identity, creating sacred space, or quietly reminding them of something that matters.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about my work. I hope you enjoy exploring the collections, and perhaps discover the ritual object that feels as though it was always meant to find you.
